Photo courtesy of True Southerners A Pictorial History of Henry County, Georgia by Gene Morris, Jr. Gene wrote, “This dark old photo says a lot about life before electricity. It was a much less illuminated experience. We see the store was lighted by one oil lamp hanging from the ceiling. The Star Store was on the south side of the McDonough Square at the corner of Macon Street. Some of those pictured are Marvin Turner, Cloud Russell and Minne Bryant.”
