Kirby Gerald Hunt
Mr. Kirby Gerald Hunt, age 87, of McDonough, Ga., passed away November 9, 2018. Mr. Hunt was born in Commerce, Ga., the son of the late Roselyn Lyle Hunt and Kirby Norris Hunt. Mr. Hunt was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class. He served his country in the US Air Force. He worked and retired from Georgia Power. Mr. Hunt enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, woodworking, being outdoors and nature, and watching and feeding animals. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Hunt.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sammy Hunt of McDon- ough; children, Lynn Adams (Danny), Martha Bowles (Jerry), Gerald Hunt (Jackie), and Terry Hunt (Diocy) all of McDonough; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; brother, David Hunt (Faye) of Monroe, Ga.; and 1 niece and 1 nephew.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Shephard officiating.
