The Willie B. Hatcher American Legion Post 516 held their annual Veteran’s Day Lunch-eon Saturday at the Shiloh Baptist Church Family Life Center in McDonough. McDonough Mayor Billy Cope-land issued a proclamation and the crowd was addressed by guest speaker, Captain Steven S. Andrews, United States Marine Corps Retired.

The Henry County Times was awarded a plaque for newspaper articles that resulted in bringing awareness and financial support to the post’s efforts in refurbishing the homes of veterans in the area.
