The Henry County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution for the Henry County Animal Care and Control Department to accept a donation from the Martha and Ruby Charitable Foundation at the October 2 Commission meeting.

  The $2,000 donation will be used to assist dog owners in spaying or neutering their Pit Bull and Pit Bull mixed breed dogs that are reclaimed from the Henry County Animal Shelter.

The Henry County Animal Care and Control Shelter has many furry friends that are available for adoption. Dogs and puppies have an adoption fee of $65; cats and kittens have an adoption fee of $35 and adoption fees include a prepaid rabies vaccination certificate and a 24Petwatch microchip.   For more information on the Henry County Animal Care and Control Department, please visit hcacc.org
