St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church invites the community to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their pipe organ with a recital by Kyle Osborne on Saturday, October 7 at 3 p.m. The recital will include music by J.S. Bach, Herbert Howells, Craig Phillips, Georg Muffat, Dietrich Buxte-hude and Louis Vierne. In addition to being a virtuoso organist, pianist and conductor, Kyle is also a composer. His choral music was recently performed at St. James Cathedral, Chicago. The recital is open to public and will be followed by a reception in the parish hall. Bethel United Methodist Church will host a discussion on race using F. Willis Johnson’s book “Holding Up Your Corner – Talking About Race in Your Community” as a guide. The guided conversation will take place on Saturday, October 14 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the chapel. Pre-registration is required and available in two methods.
