Local boy reels in 30 pound catfish
Special to The Times
On July 4 a 12-year-old boy wound up with a big surprise. Braedan McDonald (below) was fishing off of a dock on the Tussahaw end of Jackson Lake when he got a bite. A big one.
Braedan fought the fish for 40 minutes before he and his brother Spencer finally got it on the dock. The mud cat weighed 30 pounds and measured 44 inches in length. Once pictures were made the fish was released back into the water to swim about his business.
