Free GED Classes for Henry Youth
Connecting Henry is offering free GED classes for eligible Henry County youth ages 16-24. Classes are held Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m.-noon. For more information, call them at 770-288-6230.

ReStore Seeking Volunteers
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore McDonough is seeking volunteers to give 4 hours a week to help make a difference in the community. The ReStore sells donated, new and gently used furniture, household décor, appliances, and building supplies to the general public, to raise funds to support Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity as they provide affordable housing for families in the community who need it. Volunteers in the ReStore assist shoppers, accept donations, unload donation trucks, and prepare and set up merchandise. The ReStore is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and is located at 1465 Hwy. 20 West in McDonough. Henry County Farmers Market
The Henry County Extension in cooperation with the Henry County Farm Bureau hold a Farmers Market every Thursday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It is held at the Jason T. Harper Arena at Heritage Park, located at 97 Lake Dow Road in McDonough. The market will run every Thursday through August. Expect to find fresh, local produce, local honey, jams, jellies and herbs, plants, baked goods, wooden crafts, treats and pet accessories, kettle corn and much, more.

Trail Alive cycling event in Stockbridge
The City of Stockbridge will host their Trail Alive cycling event on Saturday, July 15 at 10 a.m. It begins at the Reeves Creek Trailhead, located at 415 Flippen Road in Stockbridge and proceeds to Memorial Park, then back to the Reeves Creek Trailhead for a 3.4 mile round trip. Henry Toastmasters

Compassionate Friends
The Compassionate Friends is for parents and other family members who have lost a child in death. They meet the first Monday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Center Point Church located at 4127 US Highway 41 Bypass South in Griffin. Volunteers Needed at Local Hospice
Volunteers needed for Gentiva Hospice in Stockbridge Duties include patient companionship and socialization, caregiver respite, office/administrative work, special event assistance, community outreach, special projects. Cherry Street Market
The Cherry Street Market in Downtown is held on the first Saturday of each month from 9 a.m.-noon. They are seeking farmers, crafters and artisans to participate. There is no vendor fee for the market, held at 1 Cherry Street in Hampton.
