Free GED Classes for Henry Youth
Connecting Henry is offering free GED classes for eligible Henry County youth ages 16-24. Classes are held Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m.-noon. For more information, call them at 770-288-6230.

Henry County Farmers Market held each Thursday
The Henry County Extension in cooperation with the Henry County Farm Bureau hold a Farmers Market every Thursday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It is held at the Jason T. Harper Arena at Heritage Park, located at 97 Lake Dow Road in McDonough. The market will run every Thursday through August. Expect to find fresh, local, produce, local honey, jams, jellies and herbs, plants, baked goods, wooden crafts, treats and pet accessories, kettle corn and much, more.

Trail Alive cycling event in Stockbridge
The City of Stockbridge will host their Trail Alive cycling event on Saturday, July 15 at 10 a.m. It begins at the Reeves Creek Trailhead, located at 415 Flippen Road in Stockbridge and proceeds to Memorial Park, then back to the Reeves Creek Trailhead for a 3.4 mile round trip. Sheriff’s Summer Camp
Registration is underway for the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff’s Summer Camp. Camp will be held July 17-21 and the cost is $50 per child. The program is open to Henry County residents ages 12, 13 and 14. Spots are first come, first serve only. Cherry Street Market
The Cherry Street Market in Downtown is held on the first Saturday of each month from 9 a.m.-noon. They are seeking farmers, crafters and artisans to participate. There is no vendor fee for the market that will be held at 1 Cherry Street in Hampton.

Henry Toastmasters
Henry County Toastmasters meet every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Piedmont Henry Hospital, 1133 Eagles Landing Parkway in Stockbridge. For information about the club, please visit http://2367.toastmastersclub.org

Compassionate Friends
The Compassionate Friends is for parents and other family members who have lost a child in death. They meet the first Monday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Center Point Church located at 4127 US Highway 41 Bypass South in Griffin.
