Trail Alive cycling event in Stockbridge
The City of Stockbridge will host their Trail Alive cycling event on Saturday, July 15 at 10 a.m. It begins at the Reeves Creek Trailhead, located at 415 Flippen Road in Stockbridge and proceeds to Memorial Park, then back to the Reeves Creek Trailhead for a 3.4 mile round trip. AARP Safe Driver Class
A safe driver class, sponsored by the AARP, will be held Tuesday, June 27 at 9 a.m. at New Covenant Church of God. This six hour class can help you lower your auto insurance rates. Call 770-922-7965 to register. The church is located at 154 Jonesboro Road in McDonough.

Patriotic Celebration June 24
Sacred Journey Hospice Foundation will feature a Patriotic Celebration with local vocalist Christopher Davis on Saturday, June 24 at 3 p.m. It will be held at Jodeco Baptist Church, 1290 Jodeco Road, McDonough. Sheriff’s Summer Camp
Registration is underway for the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff’s Summer Camp. Camp will be held July 17-21 and the cost is $50 per child. The program is open to Henry County residents ages 12, 13 and 14. Spots are first come, first serve only. Dance Lessons/Sock Hop at Henry Moose Center
Grab your poodle skirt, grease back your hair and head over to the Henry County Family Moose Center for a Summer Sock Hop on Saturday, June 24 from 8-11 p.m. The cost to attend is $6 per person and music will be provided by DJ Bert Peabody. There will be a dance contest and costume prize winners. They ask that guests bring snacks to share. The Henry County Family Moose Center is located at 91 Hunters Chase in McDonough. Dance lessons will be held on Friday, June 23 from 7:30-8:30 p.m. with professional instructors James Stone and Charlyn Harms who will give lessons on the jitter bug and swing dancing.

Cherry Street Market
The Cherry Street Market in Downtown is held on the first Saturday of each month from 9 a.m.-noon. They are seeking farmers, crafters and artisans to participate. There is no vendor fee for the market that will be held at 1 Cherry Street in Hampton.
