Women’s Self Defense Class at Fairview Library

A free Women’s Self Defense Class will be held on Wednesday, June 14 from 1:30-5 p.m. at the Fairview Public Library. The class is offered to women 21 years of age and older and is taught by the Henry County Police Department.
The program is dedicated to empowering women with knowledge to reduce the occurrence of sexual assault crimes. It provides effective options by teaching women to take an active role in their own self-defense and psychological well-being.
The Women’s Self Defense Program is a comprehensive course that begins with classroom instruction in risk awareness, risk reduction, crime prevention strategies, and defensive concepts followed by hands-on training in physical defense techniques.
