Movies on the Square

Food Truck Tuesdays

Hampton Business and Merchants Association
Hampton Merchants will meet on Thursday, June 8 at noon in the Hampton Train Depot. The organization gives people the opportunity to work together to give the community a voice in Henry County. Locust Grove Farmer’s Market
The City if Locust Grove will hold a Farmer’s Market every Saturday starting June 3 from 8 a.m.-noon. The community is invited to come and purchase fresh tomatoes, beans, squash, and more – all grown by farmers in the Henry County area. Henry Arts Alliance Arts Camp
Registration is ongoing for the 2017 Henry Arts Alliance Arts Camp going on June 19-23. The camp location for this year is McDonough Presbyterian Church for Monday through Thursday. On Friday morning they will meet at the Henry County Performing Arts Center. Friday’s performance will be held at 7 p.m. at the Henry County Performing Arts Center. Summer Programs at Georgia Archives
The Georgia Archives will host two programs next month. On Friday, June 9, the Archives’ new book and manuscript catalog will be their Lunch and Learn topic, and on Saturday, June 10, the Georgia Genealogical Society will hold their annual Summer Genealogy Picnic. Free Document Shredding on June 3
CapSouth Partners will be holding their 6th Annual Document Shredding Day on Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m.-noon. The service area will be setup in the parking lot at their office at 1200 Keys Ferry Court in McDonough. Secure, on-site disposal of sensitive documents will be provided free of charge through Document Destruction Services, Inc. No Electronic Recycling is being offered this year. Please note that there is a limit of five 30-gallon bags per family. Please remove all Binder Clips. Document Destruction Services, Inc. will only accept personal documents. Free Tennis Lessons for Local Youth
Free tennis lessons are being offered for Juniors, ages 5-18 on Saturday, June 3 at 1 p.m. at the Eagles Brooke Tennis Courts in Locust Grove. www.facebook.com/EBCCTennisclub. Lessons will be instructed by Eric Kave, U.S.P.T.A Certified Professional and Mike Wilson P.T.R Certified Instructor ACE Certified Personal Trainer. They will teach young players to enjoy the great game of tennis, along with instructing them on how to properly hit the various shots involved in competition, such as forehands, backhands, volleys, overheads and serves. They will instruct them to play in a manner to help them avoid injuries and progress rapidly through the various skill levels. Rackets will be provided for new players that need them.

Compassionate Friends
The Compassionate Friends is for parents and other family members who have lost a child in death. They meet the first Monday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Center Point Church located at 4127 US Highway 41 Bypass South in Griffin.
