Free Document Shredding on June 3
CapSouth Partners will be holding their 6th Annual Document Shredding Day on Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m.-noon. The service area will be setup in the parking lot at their office at 1200 Keys Ferry Court in McDonough. Secure, on-site disposal of sensitive documents will be provided free of charge through Document Destruction Services, Inc. No Electronic Recycling is being offered this year. Please note that there is a limit of five 30-gallon bags per family. Please remove all Binder Clips. Document Destruction Services, Inc. will only accept personal documents. Free Tennis Lessons for Local Youth
Free tennis lessons are being offered for Juniors, ages 5-18 on Saturday, June 3 at 1 p.m. at the Eagles Brooke Tennis Courts in Locust Grove. www.facebook.com/EBCCTennisclub. Lessons will be instructed by Eric Kave, U.S.P.T.A Certified Professional and Mike Wilson P.T.R Certified Instructor ACE Certified Personal Trainer. They will teach young players to enjoy the great game of tennis, along with instructing them on how to properly hit the various shots involved in competition, such as forehands, backhands, volleys, overheads and serves. They will instruct them to play in a manner to help them avoid injuries and progress rapidly through the various skill levels. Rackets will be provided for new players that need them.
Nash Farm Farmers Market

Cooking for a Life Time Class
The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension will offer a Cooking for a Life Time Cooking Class on Thursday, May 18 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, 262 Macon Street in McDonough. The class will teach participants how to enjoy healthy food prepared in a variety of ways. Pre-registration is required by Thursday, May 11. The Cherry Street Market in Downtown will be held Saturday, June 6 from 9 a.m.-noon. They are seeking farmers, crafters and artisans to participate. There is no vendor fee for the market that will be held at 1 Cherry Street in Hampton.
AARP Safe Driver Class May 19
An AARP Safe Driver Class will be held on Friday, May 19 at 10 a.m. at the Fairview Library, located at 28 Fairview Road in Stockbridge. This is a six hour class that can help reduce automobile insurance rates. Cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Call 770-922-7965 to register.
