Farm Bureau holding Yard and Plant Sale
The Henry County Farm Bureau will hold a Multi Family Yard and Plant Sale to benefit the Henry County High School FFA Chapters on Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Come to shop, sell or both. To rent a booth, call 770-957-2608. The Henry County Farm Bureau is located at 117 Racetrack Road in McDonough.

AARP Safe Driver Class May 19
An AARP Safe Driver Class will be held on Friday, May 19 at 10 a.m. at the Fairview Library, located at 28 Fairview Road in Stockbridge. This is a six hour class that can help reduce automobile insurance rates. Cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Call 770-922-7965 to register.

Cooking for a Life Time Class
The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension will offer a Cooking for a Life Time Cooking Class on Thursday, May 18 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, 262 Macon Street in McDonough. The class will teach participants how to enjoy healthy food prepared in a variety of ways. Pre-registration is required by Thursday, May 11. Community Yard Sale at Noah’s Ark
Noah’s Ark will hold a community yard sale on Saturday, May 6 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sign up to be a vendor or donate your gently used items to the sale. Reserve a 10x10 space for $25. First come, first served. Set up for vendors is on Friday, May 5 from 5-8 p.m. A food trailer will be on-site. Noah’s Ark is located at 712 LG Griffin Road in Locust Grove. Awesome Blossom Spring Fest
The 2nd annual Awesome Blossom Spring Fest will be held on the campus of Bethel UMC in Stockbridge on Saturday, May 6 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. They are currently looking for vendors who wish to sell their arts and craft wares at the event.
