Simpson named Nexus Intern of the Year

Gray Simpson of McDonough has been named Greenhouse Product News/Nexus Intern of the Year following a six month internship with Metrolina Greenhouses in Huntersville, N.C. He is the first Georgia student to earn the national honor.

Simpson is a student at the University of Georgia where he has been named outstanding senior by the Horticulture faculty within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

A graduate of Eagle’s Landing High School, Simpson has earned several scholarships including ones from the Garden Club of Georgia, Henry County High Schools Foundation and the McDonough Garden Club. He is the son of Doug and Angie Simpson.
