Brenda Ramona Nail DeLauder
Brenda Ramona Nail DeLauder, age 60, of Snellville, Ga., left her earthly life on Sunday, February 26, 2017 to go Home to her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
She was born August 3, 1956 to Charles Edwin Nail and Clara Wallace Nail. She was a 7th generation Georgian of Henry County. Though she resided in Gwinnett County since 1989, McDonough remained her “heart home.” Brenda started a career in retail in 1977, leaving corporate retail in 1999 with Belk, Inc. Following that she volunteered in many activities within her church, First Moravian of Ga., and her community of Bridle-gate, and thrived on working on her family farm. Happiness to her was being on the tractor out in the field. It is there she had her best talks with God and enjoyed her life with the many rich blessings God provided. She knew and loved Christ all her life and thrived on sharing that love through articles she wrote for local newspapers.
Brenda is survived by her husband Richard “Ric” DeLauder; her mother, Clara Wallace Nail; her brother, Wayne E. Nail; step children, Chris and De DeLauder, and Glena and Paul McCalla; grandchildren, Ashley (Dan), Aiden, Scott, Morgan and Dannica; a great granddaughter, Emma; a special nephew, Joseph Ross Walker; an uncle and aunt, Robert and Helen Nail; cousins, Joy and Randy Underwood, Melissa and Chris Albert. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Donna Wilcox; family friend Ramona Beshear, and numerous cousins in Ohio, Tenn. and Ala., and her beloved pets Pepper and Catcher.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. Interment will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday at McDonough City Cemetery in McDonough.
