Laura Clark
Laura Clark, 93, of McDonough, Ga., died Tuesday, February 14, 2017. She was born in Henry County to the late Boyce and Mary (Ridgeway) Moss. Laura was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She retired from the Atlanta Lung Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Clark, and son-in-law, Danny Wilhoit.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her daughters, Jane (Jerry) Hammock, Lynn Wilhoit, grandchildren, Jeff (Kristin) Hammock, Paige Kelley, Becky (Chuck) Kelley; great-grandchildren, Kristian, Sara and Katelyn Kelley, Chase and Cole Hammock; brother, Rolfe (Kathleen) Moss; brothers-in-law, Wyman (Mary Frances) Clark, Milton Clark; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Statham and Bobby Swafford officiating. Interment followed at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. ­Huston Joyner
Mr. Huston Joyner, age 88, of McDonough, Ga., passed away February 15, 2107. Huston was born in Henry County the son of the late Velna Gladys Hunt Joyner and Robert Emerson Joyner, Sr. Huston was a faithful member of Stark United Methodist Church for 27 years. He retired from Gulf Oil / Gulf Chevron with 28 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working on old cars and boats, bowling, fishing and spending time with his dogs. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Joyner Jr.
Survivors are his loving wife of 60 years, Jane Henderson Joyner of McDonough; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Frank Farmer of McDonough; grandsons, Nikolas Farmer (Annick Miller) and Jesse Farmer; great grandchildren, Anissa Russell, James Russell, Sebastian Soucie and Pascal Williams; great-great grandchild; Camila Russell; brother, Jimmy Joyner (Brenda) of McDonough; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Huston were held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Soulen and Rev. James Miller officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home prior to the service from noon-2 p.m. on Saturday. Interment at Eastlawn Memorial Park. John C. Hinton
John C. Hinton of Stockbridge, age 60, passed away February 13, 2017.
John is survived by his wife Tesa Hinton, daughter Amanda Hinton, grandsons Jacob Hinton, Julian Hinton, and Joseph Minter, also his siblings Carol Paino, William Hinton Jr. and Michael Hinton.

Bruce A. Hamby
Mr. Bruce A. Hamby passed away on January 23, 2017 at the age of 83. Bruce was born on October 24, 1933 in Los Angeles, Calif. to Bernice Baumgardner Hamby and Richard Charles Hamby. He attended Excelsior High School in Downey, Calif., and Washington State University where he played football. He was a serviceman in the United States Army where he received an honorable discharge and was awarded the Infantry Badge. Bruce achieved the status of master carpenter and proved his skill while working as a construction superintendent for Moseman Construction and Bellamy Brothers Construction. He also worked for DeKalb County Plant Maintenance. He was a dedicated Freemason, 32nd Degree Shriner and Past Master. He was married to Theodora Watkins, his loving wife, in Richland, Wash., on October 27, 1956.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Theodora Hamby of Ellenwood, Ga.; two sons, Glenn (Sarah) Hamby of Louisville, Colo., and David (Meg) Hamby of Ellenwood, Ga.; one daughter, Joan (Terry) Nichols of Ellenwood, Ga.; three granddaughters, Melissa (Shelby) Walker of Flemington, Mo., Lauren Hamby of Denver, Colo., and Brittany Reis of Orlando, Fla.; two grandsons, Marcus (Natalie) Hamby of Hotchkiss, Colo., and Brandon Hamby of Ellenwood, GA; three great-granddaughters, Lynze Walker of Flemington, Mo., Seely Walker of Flemington, Mo., and Braylena Hamby of Hotchkiss, Colo.; and one great-grandson, James R. Lorraine III of Orlando, Fla.
The family of Bruce Hamby received friends on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were held at Horis A.
