Living Well Workshop
Fairview Public Library will have a Living Well Workshop on Healthy Changes for Living with Chronic Conditions. It will be held every Friday at 10:30 a.m. until March 10. Healthy Changes for Living with Chronic Conditions is a series of workshops that teaches individuals how to cope with ongoing health conditions such as arthritis, depression, fibro-myalgia, high blood pressure, asthma and more. Participants learn how to work with doctors, manage symptoms, set realistic goals and embrace relaxation techniques and healthy eating. This is a 6-week workshop with each session lasting approximately 2 1/2 hours. For more information, call the library at 678-432-5353 ext. 3. Winter Gala Benefit
Shining Light Ministries will host their second Winter Gala Benefit on Friday, March 3 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. It will be held at the Locust Grove Event Center, 280 Mose Brown Road in Locust Grove. Woman of Joy, Leslie Norris Townsend, will be the guest speaker. Tickets are on sale now for $75 each. Track and Field Registration
Henry County Parks and Recreation will hold Track and Field registration through February 24, Monday - Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. It will be available at Heritage Park Office, J.P. Moseley Recreation Center, Locust Grove Recreation Center Fairview Recreation Center or online at www.hcprd.org. The program is for children ages 7 - 14 (age as of 12/31/17). The registration fee is $85 per child and includes uniform, warmup, award and meet fees. For more information contact Henry County Parks and Recreation at 770-288-7300.

Struggling Readers Program
The community is invited to attend a program on Struggling Readers on Thursday, March 16 from 6-7:45 p.m. at the Fairview Public Library. The event is free and open to the public. Is your student really struggling with reading? When should you start worrying, and what should you do? These are some of the questions they will address at the program. Outreach attendees will learn the signs of a struggling reader at different ages and curriculum components that need to be present to help correct the problems. Master Gardeners taking applications for scholarship
The Henry County Master Gardeners are currently accepting applications for their annual scholarship in the amount of $1,000. They encourage Henry County seniors who are considering college in the following areas to apply: Horticulture, Landscaping, Farming, Agriculture and Agriculture Business. Visit the Henry County Master Gardener website at ugaextension.org and click on the scholarship link to access the application. The application deadline is Friday, April 14.
