Adam James Lloyd, age 34 of Stockbridge, Ga., died Friday, December 23, 2016.

Juanita Martin Buice
Mrs. Juanita Martin Buice, 89, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on January 10, 2017. She was born March 2, 1927 the daughter of the late Florrie Belle Wynn and Hugh Martin. Mrs. Buice grew up in the Mt. Bethel Community and has been a member of Mt. Bethel since the age of 14. She worked in Civil Service at the Atlanta Army Depot and the National Parks Service, retiring in 1980 with 35 years. Mrs. Buice lived in Barnesville and Morrow before moving back to McDonough in 2002. She and her husband were remembered as caregivers to several family members. She was a resident at Westbury Nursing Home in McDonough at the time of her death. Mrs. Buice was preceded in death by her husband, Barnette Buice; siblings, John Tom Martin, Nell Martin Busbin, Gerald (Jerry) Martin, Lamar (Moty) Martin, Doris Martin Stubbs, and Marian Martin Rowan.
Mrs. Buice is survived by her nephew, Donald (Helen) Busbin of McDonough; niece, Phyllis (David) Seago of Suwanee; nephew, Danny (Nannette) Martin; long-time friend, Marge Carden of Hampton; and other family and friends.
Services were conducted on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. John Brown and Rev. Charles Jackson officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family received friends at Haisten Funeral Home from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Bethel UMC Building Fund, 922 Mt. Bethel Road, McDonough, Georgia 30252.

Walter Cleveland Weeks
Walter Cleveland Weeks , age 59, of McDonough, Ga., passed away January 13, 2017. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Roseen and father, George E. Weeks, Sr.
Walter is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Pam; son, Nick; brothers, George E. Weeks, Jr., Jerry C. Weeks; and sister ,Janis Marie Pelham.

Burney Ray Collins
Rev. Burney Ray Collins, age 89 of McDonough, Ga., passed away January 14, 2017. He was born in Cobbtown, Ga., to the late Leonard and Sallie Collins. Ray faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Mercer University and a Master’s degree from Southern Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. He was pastor of the First Baptist Church of Buchanan, Valley Brook Baptist Church in Decatur, Woodbury Baptist Church and retired from Luthersville Baptist Church. He was a member of the McDonough First Baptist Church and volunteered as a Chaplain at the former Henry Medical Center. Ray enjoyed fishing and was an avid gardener. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Willie Mae Saturday Collins and by siblings, Gladstone Collins, Elton Collins, Christine Haynes, Lucille Williams, Vernon Collins and Eleene Powell.
Survivors include children, Martha Sue Collins of McDonough, Ga., Sally Mae Collins of Englewood, NJ and Allen Ray (Susan Gribble) Collins of Kennesaw, Ga.; special friend, Faye Timmer of Englewood, N.J.; step grandchildren, Nick and Ava Gribble; sister in law, Nelle Holcombe of Columbia, S.C.; brother in law, Rev. Paul Stouffer of Centerville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the McDonough First Baptist Church. Dr. Charles Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the McDonough First Baptist Church in memory of Rev. Ray Collins.
