Raymond Nathan Scott, Sr., age 61, of Stockbridge, Ga, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016.

Ina Chappell Stanley, age 96, of Locust Grove, Ga., passed away December 11, 2016.

Barrie Marie Woodward
Barrie Marie Woodward, age 72, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016, ending a four-year struggle with cancer. She was born in Jacksonville, Fla., to the late Lewis and Tommie Woodward. Barrie was a lifelong resident of Henry County. Barrie attended North Georgia College and Georgia State University. She retired from the State of Georgia Department of Veteran’s Service in 2010. An animal lover and sports fan, Barrie volunteered with several animal rescue groups and enjoyed attending Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Thrashers games. She was a devoted follower of SEC football but was always interested in how Georgia Tech was faring. A music lover of many genres, she was a fan of Jimmy Buffett and was proud to be a Parrot Head. She was preceded in death by her son, John Lewis McDonald, and her sister Cary Walters.
Barrie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laurel (Matt) Peace, of Grayson, Ga.; grandchildren, Ty Merlyn McDonald, of Buford, Ga., Brennan Peace, of Grayson, Ga., Sydney Peace, of Grayson, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Terry Woodward, of Kennesaw, Ga., Lynn (Tim) Avary, of Lake Toxaway, N.C., Judy (Bobby) Blount, of Stockbridge, Ga.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Chaplain Don Daly officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Esperanza Dominguez Mobley
Esperanza Dominguez Mobley, age 81 of Stockbridge, Ga., passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016. Esperanza was a faithful parishioner of St. James Catholic Church in McDonough where she attended Mass daily. She was an active member of the Young at Heart Club and the Rosary Guild at her parish. Esperanza loved to be active and enjoyed being involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was an employee at Dowling Textiles, now known as Encompass for over 20 years until she retired in 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph McCager Mobley in 2012.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Vivian Teresa (Gregory) Osborn of Lawrenceville, and Anna Rosa (Scott) Turco of Wichita, Kans., grandchildren, Christa Hughes (Brian), Michelle Rose (Taylor), Tyler Scott Turco, Anthony “Cage” McCager Turco, and Nolan Paul Turco, and great-granddaughter Abigail Hope Hughes.
A memorial mass to honor and celebrate the life of Esperanza Dominguez Mobley will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Church with Fr. James Harrison serving as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Honey Creek Woodlands on the grounds of the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, Ga. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Esperanza Dominguez Mobley.
