Lacrosse League for Area Children
Wesley Way United Methodist Church is beginning a Lacrosse league for area children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Registration will be held January 3-24. The cost is $110 per child and games begin in March. All kindergarten through 3rd grade players will participate in a co-ed, soft stick program. All players will need to purchase a mouth guard and goggles. The sticks are provided for team practices and games. All players will use mini lacrosse sticks (FiddleSTX) for better manageability. ReStore Seeking Volunteers
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore McDonough is seeking volunteers to give 4 hours a week to help make a difference in the community. The ReStore sells donated, new and gently used furniture, household décor, appliances, and building supplies to the general public, to raise funds to support Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity as they provide affordable housing for families in the community who need it. Volunteers in the ReStore assist shoppers, accept donations, unload donation trucks, and prepare and set up merchandise. The ReStore is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and is located at 1465 Hwy. 20 West in McDonough.
