Roger Ned Bradford
Mr. Roger Ned Bradford, age 77 of Stockbridge, Ga., passed away December 4, 2016. He was born in Toccoa, Ga., the eighth of nine children of the late James Franklin and Mary Lamar Thacker Bradford. Ned was an entrepreneurial automobile salesman, having owned and operated many car lots in the Atlanta area. He also owned County Line Lake on Highway 155, where countless friends and neighbors fished and spent time with Mr. Ned. He loved fishing and traveling. Ned was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Carol Eva Sheffield Bradford.
Survivors include his children, Alan (Tina) Bradford of St. Pete Beach, Fla., Joy (Alex) Thomas of McDonough; grandchildren, Justin Alan Bradford, Jordan Patrick Bradford, Kaylee Alixandra Speltz, Dean William Sanders, Summer Joy Sanders, Channing Alexis Thomas; sister, Kathy Bradford Thurman.
Memorial services were held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Haisten Funeral Home. Friends visited the family one hour prior to the service. Haisten Funeral Home of McDonough,

John Willie Smith III
John Willie Smith III, commonly known as Will, age 36, of Hampton, Ga., was called home to his Lord and Savior on December 8, 2016. He was born on June 10, 1980 in Riverdale, Ga., to John Willie Smith Jr. and Connie Lynn Smith. Will enjoyed all sports and growing up he played baseball, tennis, and ran track. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog and Atlanta Falcons football fan. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and was a fan of WWE. Everyone knew that Will cheered for Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the Nascar races. In his spare time, you could find Will reading DC Marvel Superhero Comics and watching anime with Gator and Matty. Will worked for his family’s business, Dynamic Pest Control, as a pest control technician for 15 years. Will’s family described him as funny, loyal, and smart. He will be greatly missed.
Will leaves behind his parents, John and Connie Smith; grandparents, Jerry and Bessie Spratt; aunts and uncles, Kathy and Ernie Mclendon, Paula and Tom Gross, Debra Flint, Gail Franks, and Greg Weathers. He also leaves behind numerous cousins and friends. His grandfather, John Smith Sr.; grandmother, Nancy Russell; uncles, Olin Slater, Danny Spratt, Brian Smith, Jimmy Weathers; and cousins, Jamie Franks and Matthew “Matty” Hicks preceded him in death.
Family and friends gathered for a service to celebrate Will’s life on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Astrid Konefal Bernard
Astrid Konefal Bernard, age 88 of Stockbridge, Ga., died Friday, December 9, 2016. She was born in Wallington, N.J. to the late John and Agnes Kwasnik Konefal. She was a Navy Veteran serving in the Korean war, as a member of the Navy WAVES program.
Mrs. Bernard is survived by her sister, Dorothy Braunsroth and family, of McDonough, Ga.; niece and nephews, Doris Schwandt and family, of Plainfield, Ind., Kurt Braunsroth and family, of Decatur, Ga., and Douglas Braunsroth and family, of McDonough, Ga.

Harold Edward Finch, Sr.
Harold Edward “Quick Draw” Finch, Sr., age 88 of McDonough, Ga., passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016. He was born in Atlanta to the late George William and Belle Finch. Harold grew up in the Georgia Baptist Orphanage in Hapeville. He had appeared in several movies, many television commercials, and magazine advertisements. He was a lifetime member of Bethany Baptist Church, in McDonough. He loved guns, cooking, gospel music, and was always whistling. He enjoyed sports, especially the Braves and Falcons. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Tothill, Emily Boyette, Lola Mae Kunschick, and Gladys Hollyfield.
Mr. Finch is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jocie Eleanor Finch; children, Nancy Smith and Kevin Ledford, Eddie Finch; Grandchildren, Tracy and Mike Cavanagh; great-grandchildren, Michael and Ashley Cavanagh; Several nieces, nephews and cousins, all of McDonough, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleve-land Funeral Directors with Rev. Roger Davis and Rev. Terrell Hopkins officiating. The family received friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
