Coffee with a Cop November 19

Special to The Times

On Saturday, November 19 from 8:30-10 a.m. Stockbridge Mayor Pro Tem Anthony S. Ford’s next ‘Coffee with a Cop’ will be held at Empson’s Deli (located at 1445 Rock Quarry Rd., Stockbridge) and at different locations throughout the city on Saturday mornings thereafter.

The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve. Council-man Ford realizes that the ultimate goal of this event is to build trust between the police officers and the community.

In a short time, citizens and police officers will get to know each other and discover mutual goals for the communities they live in and serve.

Coffee with a Cop provides police officers opportunities, outside of crisis situations, to relax and chat with residents in the community. It also provides the community access for distraction-free conversations with local police officers.

A cup of coffee is a common bond. Please, join Mayor Pro Tem Ford and officers from the Henry County’s North Precinct in Coffee with a Cop Saturday mornings for real conversations about issues that matter.
