Henry County Master Gardener Program
The Henry County Cooperative Extension Office is accepting applications for the 2017 Master Gardener Program until October 28. Applications are available at the Henry County Cooperative Extension and www.ugaextension.org/henry. For more information, call 770-288-8421, or come by the Extension office, located at 97 Lake Dow Road in McDonough. The program is open to anyone who is interested in community service and gardening. The 2017 program will begin January 9 and end on March 27. The classes will be held on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 4 pm. There will be 50 hours of class room instruction; classes will be taught by county agents and University of Georgia specialists.

FunDay at Wesley Way
Wesley Way UMC will have FunDay @ WesleyWay on Saturday, October 29 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. The event and all activities are free to the community. They will have live music, a cake walk, hayrides, inflatables, trunk or treat, corn hole, hobby trains, kids games, pumpkin bowling, human foosball, pumpkin painting, karaoke, a treasure hunt, food and more. NAACP to hold Forum
The Henry County Branch of the NAACP is sponsoring a forum for the Henry County Commissioner Chair, District Attorney, Sheriff, District 2, and the Clerk of Superior Court on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 6:30-8 p.m. It will be held at Smith Barnes Elementary School, located at 147 Tye Street in Stockbridge. This forum is sponsored in collaboration with the Henry County Alumni Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The public is invited.

Thanksgiving Gala at MM Hope House
Miracle Mission Hope House will host their Annual Thanksgiving Feeding Gala on Saturday, November 19 from noon-3 p.m. It will be held at Timberridge Presbyterian Church, located at 2704 GA-20 in McDonough. Halloween Vendor Fair October 31
GoNow Doctors will host a Halloween vendor fair, Lifesouth blood drive, and Trick or Treat event on Monday, October 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. Children in costumes can trick or treat while adults browse the vendor fair. “McGruff the Crime Dog” will be on hand for the festivities along with 16 vendors.
