Gerard Joseph Foster
Gerard Joseph (Joe) Foster, age 49, of Hampton, Ga., died September 14, 2016 at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Ga. Joe was born in Gainesville, Fla. He attended a multitude of schools as a “military brat” and graduated from Prince George High School outside of Fort Lee, Virginia. Joe served in the United States Air Force, completing tours of duty at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. After leaving the Air Force, Joe worked for several local industries, The Moving Men, J.D. Kinders, RSA Termite and Pest Control, Arrow Pest Control and Charter Communications, before becoming an Information Technology worker at United States Army Forces Command at Fort McPherson, Georgia. Later in life Joe became disabled and was on a disability pension. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Noreen (nee Bennett) Foster of Chester, West Virginia, and his father, Francis Henry Foster of Youngstown, Ohio.
Joe is survived by his brothers and sisters, two ex-wives and his four children: Amber Faye Foster (Savannah, Ga.), Caitlyn Rose Foster (Rincon, Ga.), Ian James Foster (Rincon, Ga.), and Ronan Joseph Foster (Rincon, Ga.).
Joe’s funeral, when scheduled, will be held at Saint James the Apostle Catholic Church in McDonough, Ga. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit at 2625 Highway 212 SW, Conyers, GA 30094. Cremation Society of Georgia is in charge of arrangements.

Clovis Dewayne Owens
Clovis Dewayne Owens, age 44, of Jackson, Ga., passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Wellstar Sylvan Grove Hospital. Clovis was born on Saturday, February 12, 1972 in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to Edna Mae Wright Owens and the late Calvin Clovis Owens. Clovis was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a 1990 graduate of Henry County High School. Clovis loved to collect model trains. He worked with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office for 16 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Calvin Ray Owens and Steven Scott Owens.
Clovis is survived by his wife, Sandy Owens; daughter, Emily Owens; son, William Owens; mother, Edna Owens; brother, Gale Wright; sisters, Myrtle Hillis, Belinda Vaughn, Wilma Fuller, Tina Lunsford, Karen Owens; mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law, Debbie and Rick West, Mike and Janet Jackson; brothers-in-law, Bryan Jackson, Jeff West, and Jamie West; sisters-in-law, Amy West and Alane Bradfield; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial services for Clovis Owens were held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Norman Schneller officiating. The family requests donations be made in the name of Sandra Owens, c/o United Bank, 150 Covington Street, Jackson, GA 30233, for a trust fund for the surviving children of Clovis Owens. Mr. Martin Mathew “Marty” Hayes, age 64 of McDonough, Ga., passed away September 3, 2016.
