Bethel UMC will have a fish fry and big yard sale on Saturday, September 10. The yard sale will be held from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. and the fish fry is from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. All proceeds go to missions. County Line Congregational Christian Church invites the community to join them for their annual homecoming on Sunday, September 11 at 10 a.m. Rever-end Gaines Wise will bring the morning message. Flippen United Methodist Church will honor police and firefighters on Sunday, September 11 at 10:30 a.m. Local first responders have been invited to join them in worship, to be recognized and to give the congregation an opportunity to express appreciation for what they do for our community. A cookout of hamburgers and hotdogs and all the fixings will follow the service. The community is invited to attend the service. The church is located at 3707 Jodeco Road in McDonough.

All Nations Life and Praise Church Sunday School will present a Noah’s Ark Matinee on Saturday, September 17 at 11 a.m. They are looking for infants to kids ages 10 who can sing, dance and wear animal costumes. All children will need an animal costume in order to board Noah’s Ark. Costume categories are lions, tigers, bears, chickens, rabbits or ducks. There will be a prize for the best animal costume. 1st Place $200, 2nd Place $100, 3rd Place $50. Practices will be held on Saturday, September 10 from 10 a.m.-noon. and Tuesday, September 13 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 each and include popcorn and a drink.
