Volunteer Information Session at ReStore
Do you have a heart for Habitat? Join them on Saturday, September 3, to find out how volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in McDonough will help support your local Habitat affiliate, as they provide affordable housing for families in the community who need it. The Volunteer Information Session will start at 10:30 a.m. and will take approximately 30 minutes. The ReStore sells donated furniture, household décor, appliances and building supplies to the general public at prices greatly reduced from retail and is located at 1465 Hwy. 20 West, McDonough 30253. Free notary public training classes
Free notary public training classes will be held on Friday, September 16 with Session 1 from 10 a.m.-11:30 p.m. and Session 2 from 1-2:30 p.m. They will be held at the Henry County Courthouse, located at 1 Courthouse Square in McDonough. Offered in conjunction with the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority, these 90-minute classes are for veteran notaries, new notaries or anyone considering becoming a notary public. Reservations are available by calling the Clerk’s office at 770-288-8064 or 770-288-8124. It is important to remember that a notary public should perform their duties to the utmost extent of the law. Failure to do so could result in costly lawsuits and penalties.

A CDC Diabetes Prevention Program is currently being held at the Hands of Hope Clinic, located at 1010 Hospital Drive in Stockbridge.
