Henry County High School Class of 1976 Reunion
The Henry County High School Class of 1976 will be supporting fellow class members at Wesley Fest on Sunday, August 28. Worship Services will be held at 9:45 a.m. The festival will follow at noon. All class members who can are asked to attend this fun, family and friends event. It will be held at Wesley Chapel UMC, located at 397 Racetrack Road in McDonough. Compassionate Friends
The Compassionate Friends is for parents and other family members who have lost a child in death. They meet the first Monday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Center Point Church located at 4127 US Highway 41 Bypass South in Griffin. Family Friendly Karaoke
San Diego Mexican Restaurant has family friendly Karaoke on Tuesday nights from 6:30-9:30 p.m. beginning August 23. For more information visit face book.com/AbsentOrchestra Entertainment. The restaurant is located at 4959 Bill Gardner Pkwy. #101 in Locust Grove.

Local hospice collecting food donations during August
Staff members from the Gentiva Hospice Stockbridge office will be blanketing the community throughout August, distributing food collection bags and gathering donations for the Georgia Food and Resource Center and Miriam’s Sanctuary as part of the company’s Annual Food Drive. Employees at the Gentiva Hospice of Stockbridge office and their fellow employees around the country – part of the Kindred at Home family of home healthcare – are placing the food collection bags at various healthcare facilities in their respective communities and will collect their “harvest” during the entire month of August. Diabetes Prevention Program
A CDC Diabetes Prevention Program is currently being held at the Hands of Hope Clinic, located at 1010 Hospital Drive in Stockbridge.
