The Times traveled recently to Grand Canyon National Park with eight students who represented Henry County Schools at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Phoenix, Arizona. These students presented 4 projects (3 team projects and 1 individual project and they also had one student observer). They competed against 1760 students from 77 countries, territories and regions around the world. Jessica Moore and Katie Gwaltney (Union Grove HS) received a 3rd place award in the competition. This was a first time opportunity for most of the students and chaperones.
