Caring for Aging Parents Support
The Palms at Lake Spivey invites the community to join their support group, Caring for Aging Parents Support (CAPS). Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Call Alanna Conner at 770-477-7207 for more information or to join. Track and Field Registration ends February 26
Henry County Parks and Recreation Track and Field is taking registrations February 1 - 26, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the following locations: Heritage Park Office, J.P. Moseley Recreation Center, Locust Grove Recreation Center and Fairview Recreation Center. Register online at www.hcprd.org.

Moments in Black History
Chastity House, Center for the Healing and Cultural Arts will present Moments in Black History Saturday, February 27 from 2 until 4 p.m. Featured speakers are Raecine Tyes and Dr. Piper Huguley-Riggens. 12th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet March 18
The Henry County NAACP Branch is a non-profit organization historically committed to equality for all people. The Branch will be sponsoring its 12th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet, Friday, March 18 at 7 p.m. at the Merle Manders Conference Center, 111 Davis Road in Stockbridge. During this event, the Branch will award college scholarships to graduating high school student(s) in need of financial aid. The theme is Pursuing Liberty in the Face of Injustice and the dynamic speaker will be Rev. Charles White, NAACP’s National Field Director. Strong Rock and Run 5K
The Strong Rock and Run 5K will be held Saturday, February 27 at 9 a.m. at Strong Rock Christian School. Register online at www.active.com. Online registration is $25 and ends February 26 at midnight. Phantom Runner is $25. Registration is $30 on the day of the race. T-shirts are available in child small, medium, large and adult small, medium, large, XL and XXL. Sponsorships available for $100, $200 and $300 amounts. Proceeds go towards Strong Rock Helps, a fund to help our community. Beneficiaries include Cure Childhood Cancer, the Henry County Pregnancy Resource Center, Focus of the Family, and a benevolence fund to help Strong Rock Families in need.
