Where In The World Is The Times

Special photo

The Time recently traveled with Tammy Williams from Stockbridge on a trip to Italy. She is shown at the San Giovanni Valdarno train station which is situated on the Florence - Rome railway line. The station was opened in 1863 by the Roman Railway Company. The main building was unfortunately destroyed by an air raid in the Second World War and was reconstructed in the second half of the 19th century. Tammy and friends enjoyed touring historic Florence with a fabulous guide, eating their way through the memorable Tuscan countryside, and cruising in a gondola through breathtaking canals of Venice. Tammy said, “We had a blast in Italy, but we are happy to be home with A.C. and ice!”
