Helen Wynne Jenkins
Helen Wynne Jenkins died October 23, 2015 at the age of 95.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 in the chapel of Cannon Cleveland. Mrs. Cecylia Wallman, age 65, of McDonough, GA passed away November 10, 2015. Cecylia was born in Szypliszki, Poland, the daughter of the late Aniela Januszewicz Dudanowicz and Jozef Dudanowicz. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loving her grandchildren, traveling with her husband, shopping with her daughter, and gardening.
Cecylia is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Bruce Wallman of McDonough; children, David Wallman and his wife, Stephanie of Peachtree City, and Laura Pate and her husband Daniel of McDonough; grandchildren, Abigail and Brian Wallman of Peachtree City; brothers, Antoni, Zenon, Marian, Kazimerz, Eugene, and Peter Dudanowicz; sisters, Teresa Kolodziej and Dorothy Paine; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two nephews, Andrew and Robert “Bobby” Dudanowicz.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 beginning 11:00 AM at St. James The Apostle Catholic Church, 1000 Highway 155 N in McDonough. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Dr. Yvonne Gredler, age 86, of McDonough, Ga., died Wednes-day, November 11, 2015. She was born in Forest, Miss. to the late Guy Wallace and Irma Noblin Singleton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Guy Singleton. In her role as a school psychologist, Dr. Gredler had an affinity for working with special needs children. She was an Elder with Eagle's Landing Christian Church and a Member of the board for Marriage Works.
Dr. Gredler is survived by her children, Mark Gredler, McDon-ough, Ga., and Judy Dodd, Winder, Ga.; grandchildren, Daniel Gredler, Amanda Wal-cott, Matthew Gredler, Nathan Gredler, Karla Dodd, Alex Dodd; great-grandchildren, Ash-lee Baird, Erika Baird, Clara Gredler, Brandon Walcott, and Braylen Jarrells; plus many other nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Samuel Howell Gardner, Jr.
Samuel Howell Gardner, Jr., age 88, of Locust Grove, Ga., passed away November 13, 2015 at his residence. Howell was born in Locust Grove, son of the late Lula Elizabeth Gaillard Gardner and Samuel Howell Gardner Sr. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Gardner; and sisters, Lula Thomas, Bernice Brown and Nan Brown. Howell was a life-long resident of Locust Grove and was born at the original home place on Gardner Lane. He graduated from McDonough High School, Class of 1944, and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He served his country in the US Army during WWII and was discharged honorably in December 1946. He served in the Army Air Corp and was stationed at Kessler Field, Miss., and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed at Fort Dix, N.J. He was honorably discharged in July 1953. He owned and operated family businesses, Gardner Hardware and the family peach farm, Gardner Farm. Both are located in Locust Grove, GA. Howell served as a Henry County Commissioner from 1965 – 1969. He also served on the Henry County Water Authority Board for 43 years and was chairman for 1971- 2003. After retiring from the Henry County Water Authority, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling and was an avid golfer at Deer Trail Country Club in Barnesville.
Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Barbara Ann Hammock Gardner; children: Chipper and Norma Gardner, Lee and Judy Gardner, Jeff and Beth Gardner Floyd, Timothy and Kathy Gardner and Tom and Lori Gardner; grandchildren: Al Gardner (Nicole), Katie Gardner, Jennifer Carter (Jake), Erin Peters (Justin), Luke Gardner (Athena), Ansley Glenn (Chris), Linsey Floyd, Molly Woodson (Brandon), Whit Gardner, Wyatt Gardner, Megan Gardner, Cole Gardner; great grandchildren: Caroline and Levi Gardner, Karson, Kennedy and Coan Carter, Caleigh and Owen Peters, Charis and Avery Gardner, Jackson and Mason Glenn; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Samuel Howell Gardner were held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Seabolt and Warren Holder officiating.
