On Wednesday, November 11 Veterans Day Service will be held at the Veterans Wall of Honor at Heritage Park in McDonough beginning at 11 a.m.
Veterans Day Parade in McDonough
The City of McDonough and United Way VetConnect invite the community to the 2015 Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 7. The parade starts at the McDon-ough City Parking Deck, around the Square to City Hall and back to the parking deck.
Stockbridge to honor Veterans
On Wednesday, November 11 the City of Stockbridge will host its 4th Annual Veterans Day Parade to celebrate all Stockbridge veterans. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the City Cemetery.
Social Security Presentation November 10
The Palms at Lake Spivey will invites the community to a dinner and presentation on Tuesday, November 10 at 5:30 p.m. Terrie Clark, a Financial Advisor, with Waddell & Reed, will present “Filing for Social Security: Flexibility and Choices for Your Retirement Income.” This educational presentation about Social Security filing options includes ample opportunity for questions. Community Blood Drive November 20
Henry County Police Department will have a community Blood Drive by Life South on Friday, November 20 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. It will be held in the Main Training Room, 116 South Zack Hinton Parkway in McDonough. Simple Southern Jubilee at Nash Farms
A Simple Southern Jubilee will be held November 13 - 15 at Nash Farms Battlefield in McDonough. Friends of Nash Farm Battlefield, Inc. along with 30th Georgia Company E will host a living history event at Nash Farm Battlefield. The program will include camp life, school of the soldier, artillery demonstrations and other historical correct vignettes. There will also be a battle scenario on Saturday and Sunday.
