Improv Comedy Show September 22
The Academy of Comedy Improv will present a night of comedy based on family friendly suggestions Tuesday, September 22 at 7 p.m. at the Stockbridge Community Arts Center. Tickets for the performance are $10 online at http://academyofcomedy.brownpapertickets.com or $15 at the door. The Stockbridge Community Arts Center is located at 146 Burke Street.

Henry Singers Rehearsals
The Henry Singers invite those with a passion for singing to come and join them each Thursday night from 7:30 until 9 p.m. Rehearsals are held in the choir room of McDonough Presbyterian Church, located at 427 McGarity Road in McDonough. For more information, email info@henrysingers .com.

Compassionate Friends
The Compassionate Friends is for parents and other family members who have lost a child in death. It meets the second Tuesday of each month at Salem Baptist Church (although it is not a church program) on Hwy. 155. Please call Freddie Saye at 678-925-4027.

Hospital Auxilary Fashion Show
Piedmont Henry Hospital’s annual Red Carpet Affair will be held September 26 at 11:30 a.m., at the Merle Manders Confer-ence Center, 111 Davis Road in Stockbridge. Tickets are $25, and the cost includes a full meal and a fashion show. The money raised at the event will be used for needed services and equipment at the hospital. The Auxiliary is still looking for local businesses that wish to purchase advertising space in the program for the event. For more information, call 678-289-9923.

Toastmasters Meeting
If you have a fear of public speaking or would simply like to become a better speaker, Henry County Toastmasters can help. The group meets on the first, third and fifth Thursdays of each month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Henry Medical Center Education Building (in the Boardroom), 1133 Eagles Landing Parkway, Stockbridge.
