Sounds of Summer concert series in Stockbridge

On Saturday, June 6 the City of Stockbridge kicked off the summer with its third annual Sounds of Summer concert series, featuring Kasper & The 911 Band. The lawn next to city hall filled with over 700 participants enjoying Kasper’s great sounds of summer.

“I think the concert had an excellent turnout. The purpose of these summertime events is to promote community involvement and interaction. The City of Stockbridge seeks to give back to the community and, hopefully, with success like this one we can continue to provide community events” said Stockbridge Councilwoman LaKeisha Gantt

The City of Stockbridge’s next Sounds of Summer concert is Saturday, July 25 from 6 until 9:30 p.m., featuring another popular Atlanta-based band, Gritz & Jelly Butter. Prior to the July 25 concert, there will be a Back-To-School Kick-Off from 4 until 6 p.m. encompassing a business expo, health fair, and school supply giveaway for students. Care packages for Stockbridge teachers will also be distributed (teachers must present Stockbridge teacher identification).

There will be food vendors and a children’s area, and concert-goers are reminded to bring a chair/blanket.
