Henry County officials ceremoniously broke ground May 13, 2015 on the latest SPLOST project in District 1, a road improvement project for Harris Drive near S. Bethany Road in Locust Grove.

Improvements to the roadway include repaving a 1.25 mile stretch of dirt road and will cost $1,668,188. Work is being performed by Southeastern Site Development and the project is budgeted under SPLOST IV.

“This is just one more improvement under our dedicated SPLOST program,” said District I Commissioner Bo Moss. “Thanks to our citizens for approving the SPLOST referendum, we are able to complete much-needed projects, just like this one.”
