Peach Stand Road Race May 23
The 9th annual Peach Stand Road Race 5K and 1 mile fun run will be held Saturday, May 15 in Locust Grove. The run begins and ends at the Gardner Farms Peach/Produce Stand on Highway 42 at the north side of Jackson Street. Register online at http://goo.gl/Nl4qDz.

Tomato Lunch and Learn May 12
The Henry County Extension Office will have their annual Tomato Growing Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, May 12 at noon in Room A of the Extension office at 97 Lake Dow Road in McDonough. They will be serving tomato sandwiches. The program will be taught by Frank Hancock County Extension Agent and the title will be Growing Tomatoes in Adverse Conditions. Heritage Writers Group
The Heritage Writers Group will meet at a different time during the month of May. They meet on May 17 from 2 until 4 p.m. This change is due to Mother’s day which falls on the regular meeting day. They meet at the McDonough Public Library, 1001 Florence McGarity Blvd.

AA Groups in Henry
Hampton Group meets at Hampton United Methodist Church, 10 West Main Street in Hampton. They meet Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and Fridays at 8 p.m.
Henry County Group meets at the Piedmont Henry Hospital Education Bldg., 1133 Eagle’s Landing Pkwy. in Stockbridge They meet Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 7 p.m.
Just For Today Group meets at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, 1865 Hwy. 20 in McDonough. They meet Sundays at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and Thursdays at 7 p.m.
Locust Grove Group meets at Locust Grove United Methodist, 211 Peeksville Rd. in Locust Grove. They meet Fridays at 8 p.m.
McDonough Group meets at McDonough United Methodist Church, 151 Macon Street in McDonough. They meet Monday through Saturday at noon each day.
Stockbridge Group meets at Stockbridge Presbyterian Church, 4740 N. Henry Blvd. in Stockbridge. They meet Mondays and Thursdays at 7 and 7:30 p.m.

Community Concert May 17
The McDonough Arts presents a McDonough Community Concert on Sunday, May 17 at 4 p.m. featuring Matthew McCord and Tara Winds Chamber Ensembles. It will be held at the Henry County Performing Arts Center, located at 37 Lemon Street in McDonough. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children and are available at Moye’s Pharmacy, 62 Keys Ferry Street in McDonough. They will also be available at the door at a cost of $14 for adults and $9 for children.
