Hey Henry - 04.29.15

Hey Henry, I want to give a shout-out to the Henry County Police Department and Henry County Animal Control for their friendly and professional attitudes. In the last month or so my dogs have made a choice to escape their yard and go on an adventure in the neighboring subdivision. That led to the Police and Animal Control being called to our house and in turn us being called to inform us of the situation. Each time the Police and Animal Control have been understanding and professional in handling the situation. I just wanted to publically thank them and to let them know how much they are appreciated.

Hey Henry, Bruce Jenner makes one fine looking woman.

Hey Henry, for all the people who continually praise Obamacare: I wish they would step away from their self-centered myopia long enough to realize that while it may have helped them, many others have had their health insurance cancelled or their premiums have doubled, tripled, or in some cases quadrupled. Based on this fact, do they have any clue as to why they now have “affordable” health insurance? It’s because the middle class once again is footing the bill for them. The two promises made by the president in order to convince America that Obamacare was going to be a good thing – “you can keep your doctor” and “the average family will save $2500 per year” were 100% lies.

Hey Henry, it’s pretty obvious that Henry County has an inadequate road structure to handle the population. Doesn’t look like there are any plans to improve it in the near future.

Hey Henry, to all of you who blew your horns at me on Friday afternoon as I sat in my stalled car in the exit from the Hudson Bridge Walmart: I hope neither you nor someone you love ever finds yourselves in the same situation.

Hey Henry, my brain tells me someone my age should be a Republican but I have trouble with a couple of words. Democrats say “everyone is entitled to the best healthcare” while Republicans say nearly the same thing, “everyone is entitled to the best healthcare they can afford.”

Hey Henry, in regards to the “Indiana Bill” comment, I couldn’t agree more. As a matter of fact, the Indiana bill is the same as the federal bill (Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993). The same wording is also in the Illinois bill that Obama actually voted in favor of when he was a senator and it became law in 1998. It is the media who is trying to make it sound like this is prejudiced against gays. This is about freedom of religion, which we, as Americans, have a right to. It’s what this country is about.

Hey Henry, please keep the people of Nepal in your thoughts and prayers as they begin to dig out from this earthquake. For those who wish to donate, a simple Google search will point you in the right direction. Please exercise common sense to avoid scams.

Hey Henry, I am a Vietnam veteran and gave the best years of my life to serve my country. I strongly resent the actions of the Valdosta State students who haven’t given anything, instead only taking from the system! Let’s go back to the old rules about the flag of our great country. Respect it or get out and find yourself another country! You have the right of your own opinion and don’t have to agree with the actions of our ‘so-called’ government (I don’t!), but the flag is a symbol of the strength of our country and respect for it has been “earned” by the blood of thousands to protect your right to protest. I don’t care if you protest racism, rising prices, equal opportunities, the president, congress, the whole government, or even the changing climatic conditions - But respect the flag!
