Locust Grove Day will be held Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The annual event features food, vendors, crafts, and fun throughout the entire Municipal Hall Grounds.
Garden Club Plant Sale
The McDonough Garden Club Plant Sale will be held Saturday, April 25 from 8 a.m. until noon at the McDonough City Market (behind Moye's Pharmacy).
Henry Singers Spring Concert
The Henry Singers will perform their Spring concert, Songs of Love & Inspiration, Friday May 1 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held at the McDonough Presbyterian Church at 427 McGarity Road in McDonough. Admission is free. Donations are gladly accepted at the door.
Family Fun Camp July 6 - 10
His Master's Voice School of Music and Arts, a Homeschool fine arts program in Henry County is hosting a Family Fun Camp July 6 - 10 at Jodeco Road UMC from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day. With more than 35 classes to choose from, there are classes for the whole family including Band and String Instruments for beginner to advanced, Vocal Techniques, Photography, Cooking, Sewing, Drama, Dance, Basket Weaving, Amateur Radio, Creative Writ-ing, Math Immersion, Teen Financial Planning and so much more. The cost is minimal so the entire family can participate. Ages range from preschool through adult. Registration is now open and will continue up until the first day of class. Senior Choir Anniversary Celebration April 26
The Henry County Community Senior Choir will hold their Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, April 26 at 3 p.m. The celebration will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 262 Macon Street in McDonough. Guests will include the Shiloh Baptist Church Choir, Taber-nacle of Praise Choir, Beulah Baptist E.D. Thomas Male Chorus, the Hall Sisters, Dance David Walker and God’s Creation, Violinist Stephen Lawrence and the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc. For Liberty Now Meeting
The For Liberty Now group, a bi-partisan group of conservatives invite the community to attend their meeting on April 27 at 7 p.m. They meet at the SPLOST Community Room at 116 Zack Hinton Parkway in McDonough. Their guest speaker is Derrick Grayson. Mr. Grayson is running against Johnny Isakson on the Republican ticket.
Stockbridge High School Classes 1966-1996 Picnic
The old Stockbridge High School also known as Patrick Henry High is being closed. A Stockbridge High School Picnic for classes 1966-1996 will be held on the school grounds on Saturday, May 30 from noon until 5 p.m. The school will be open for people to walk the halls and reminisce. Varsity will cater the event and attendees should purchase tickets to eat before May 1. No tickets will be sold on the day of the event. Guests can bring their own food, however a donation will be requested to offset costs. Make sure to bring a lawn chair. The cost to eat is $15 per person. Send payment and a self adressed and stamped envelope to Bonnie LeCroy, 17 Seabolt Road, Locust Grove, GA 30248. Your ticket will be mailed back to you. A live band will be playing at the event.
Grief Support Group

English as a Second Language classes are being held at the Fairview Public Library, 28 Austin Road in Stockbridge on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. The classes are free of charge and are for beginners to intermediate.
