McDonough First Assembly of God invites the community to worship with them. They will have one service only on Sunday, April 19 at 10:45 p.m. with guest speaker, William Franklin (Will) Graham IV. Will is Vice President of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, grandson of Rev. Billy Graham and son of Franklin Graham. He conducts evangelistic services all over the world to thousands of people on behalf of BGEA. The church is located at 338 Hwy. 42 North in McDonough.

Mount Zion United Methodist Church will have a community-wide Spring Fling on Saturday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at the church. There will be an egg hunt and other fun activities for children. The United Methodist Women of the church will sponsor the event and hot dogs will be served in Harper Hall. Their Fifth Sunday Sing-A-Long will be held on Sunday, March 29 at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary. Guests from other churches in the community will participate, and congregational singing will be led by Mike Wallace, with Alice Wallace as pianist. Refreshments will be served afterward in Harper Hall. The community is invited to attend the service at 984 Panola Road in Ellenwood.

Mt. Bethel Baptist Church invites the community to Family And Friends Day on Sunday, March 22 at 2:30 p.m. Rev W.J. Cason, Pastor of the Springfield Baptist Church will be their guest speaker. Dinner will be served after the service. Ricky Nelson is Chairperson of the program. The church is located at 633 Keys Ferry Road in McDonough.

New Hope UMC will sponsor a Chicken BBQ plus Bake Sale on Saturday, March 21. Join them for lunch (or later) that day. The church is located at 1960 New Hope Rd. at the intersection with LeGuin Mill Road.

Wesley Chapel UMC invites the community to join them for FEAST (Families Eating and Studying Together) on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. The Higher Education Tutoring Program will be held on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month with the next programs being held on March 22 and April 12. Girl Scout Troop 822 is collecting supplies for ChemoKits for children ages 2 - 7 as part of their Silver Award Project. They are requesting donations of coloring books, lip balm, lotion, small toys, stickers, journals, socks and gloves. A collection box is located in the work-room.
