Highway to Heaven Ministry will have their 2015 Community Yard Sale and Health Info event It will be held Saturday, March 21 from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tables are $10 per 10x10 space and can be secured online at www.hthmin.org by clicking on the community yard sale tab. Grace Baptist Church invites the community to a special series of services going on through April 26. The Ole Country Church invites the community to their third Sunday Night Singing on March 15 at 6 p.m. It will feature The Diplomats. There will be no cover charge, a love offering will be accepted. The church is located at 2649 Hwy. 155 North in McDonough.

Mount Zion United Methodist Church will hold its annual Saint Patrick’s Day Dinner on Sunday, March 15 from 4 until 6 p.m. Donations will go to the general budget. The public is invited to attend the dinner which will be held at the church, located at 984 Panola Road in Ellenwood.

St. Luke Lutheran Church, Henry County’s only member church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), is moving to a new location. St. Luke will be leaving the storefront location in the Carriage Gate Shopping Center, where it has worshiped for more than a decade, in order to share space with Eagle’s Landing Christian Church, located at 1748 Brannan Road in McDonough. The arrangement means that the congregations still exist as members of their respective denominations, with one building housing two churches. Eagle’s Landing Christian will hold worship at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. St. Luke will hold Sunday School at 9:40 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. Though two separate churches, both St. Luke and Eagle’s Landing Christian are excited about the ability to join forces for ministry in the community. Wesley Chapel UMC invites the community to their Spring Scholastic Concert on March 14 at 6 p.m. featuring the Wesleyan Gospel Choir and Savannah State University. Proceeds to benefit the Hilda P. Willis memorial scholarship. Join them for FEAST (Families Eating and Studying Together) on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. The Higher Education Tutoring Program will be held on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month with the next programs held on March 8 and 22 and April 12. Girl Scout Troop 822 is collecting supplies for ChemoKits for children ages 2 - 7 as part of their Silver Award Project. They are requesting donations of coloring books, lip balm, lotion, small toys, stickers, journals, socks and gloves. A collection box is located in the work-room.
