Reptile Day at Panola
Reptile Day at Panola Mountain will be held Saturday, March 14 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Are you in love with lizards? Silly for snakes? Head-over-heals for herpetofauna? Or maybe you just think they’re neat. Learn about and meet fascinating reptiles from our own backyards and even around the world. Meet specialists and members of the Georgia Reptile Society and Georgia Herpetological Society. The cost is $3 and kids younger than 3 are free. There is a $5 fee for parking. Track and Field Registration
Henry County Parks and Recreation will hold Track and Field registration from now until February 27, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the following locations: Heritage Park Office, J.P. Moseley Recreation Center, Locust Grove Recreation Center and Fairview Recreation Center. You can also register online at www.hcprd.org.

Free Income Tax Service
Vita Tax Service is providing free income tax service at the First Assembly of God, located at 338 Hwy. 42 N. in McDonough every Saturday until April 11 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. This is made possible through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and the United Way of Atlanta. No appointments necessary.

Can Hunger Food Drive
Georgia United Credit Union invites the community to participate in their annual “Can Hunger” food drive benefitting local food banks through March 31. Help them stock the shelves of our local food pantry and feed neighbors in need. Please drop off donations at the Georgia United Branch nearest you or make a $1 donation and they will purchase a food item for you. All members who donate will be entered into a drawing to win a $250 visa gift card.

Hands on Henry Seeking Projects
The 2015 Hands on Henry Day will be held Saturday, April 18. Hands on Henry is a volunteer organization that goes out every spring into the community and does volunteer work to make Henry County a better place to live. They are looking for projects to complete on that day so please visit www.handsonhenry.org, click on the Projects tab at the top of the page and submit your project for consideration.

Stockbridge High School Classes 1966-1996 Picnic
The old Stockbridge High School also known as Patrick Henry High is being closed. A Stockbridge High School Picnic for classes 1966-1996 will be held on the school grounds on Saturday, May 30 from noon until 5 p.m. The school will be open for people to walk the halls and reminisce. Varsity will cater the event and attendees should purchase tickets to eat before May 1. No tickets will be sold on the day of the event. Guests can bring their own food, however a donation will be requested to offset costs. Make sure to bring a lawn chair. The cost to eat is $15 per person. Send payment and a self adressed and stamped envelope to Bonnie LeCroy, 17 Seabolt Road, Locust Grove, GA 30248. Your ticket will be mailed back to you. A live band will be playing at the event.
