  Agape International Ministries is starting a Toastmaster Chapter. Toastmasters is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills. Membership is open to the community. On September 7 at 4 p.m. a Demonstration Meeting will be held at the church. For more info contact the church at 770-603-2211.   Life in the Spirit Full Gospel Church invites the community to worship with them on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. Sunday night prayer begins at 5:30 p.m. with Sunday night camp meeting worship service at 6 p.m. Mid-week service is held Thursday night beginning at 7 p.m. Classes for children and youth also meet Thursday at 7 p.m. The church is located at 155 Hampton Street in McDonough.   Red Oak United Methodist Church invites the community to attend Annual Homecoming services on August 24 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., with guest speaker Bishop James E. Swanson, Sr. Dinner will be served after the 3 p.m. service. Revival Services will also be held on August 25 - 27, at 7 p.m. nightly. Speakers are Rev. Byron Thomas (Ben Hill UMC), Rev.   Mount Zion United Methodist Church will host a Fifth Sunday Sing-A-Long at 6 p.m. on Sunday August 31 in the sanctuary. Guests from other churches in the community will participate, and congregational singing will be led by Choir Director Mike Wallace, with Alice Wallace as pianist. Refreshments will be served afterwards in Harper Hall. The community is invited to attend the service at 984 Panola Road in Ellenwood.

 

    One Heart Community Church invites the community to attend Friends and Family Weekend  August 21 - 24. On Friday, August 21 the Movie Under the Stars begins at 9 p.m. On Sunday, August 24 services will be held at 8:30 and 11 a.m. A BBQ will be held after the 11 a.m. service. Road Riders For Jesus ride to the Dillard House for lunch on Saturday, August 23. Meet at the church at 9 a.m. Their Mens Ministry Ping Pong Tournament is on Friday, August 29 at 7 p.m. The church is located at 40 Mays Road in Stockbridge. Call 678-289-0087 for more info.

 

  Wesley Chapel UMC invites the community to their Annual Homecoming on Sunday, August 24 at 9:45 a.m. at Heritage Park located at 101 Lake Dow Road in McDonough. It will be a day of worship, fellowship, free food, inflatables and games for the entire family with prizes. (Volleyball, flag football, card games, and a live performance by Gritz and Jelly Butter. Coolers and chairs, no alcoholic beverages permitted. Wesley will also have Revival on August 25 - 27 and 7:30 p.m. nightly. Monday night’s speaker will be Rev. Richard Winn, District Superintendent of the Griffin District, Tuesday night’s speaker Rev. Jody Ray of Stockbridge First UMC and Wednesday night’s speaker Rev. Gerod Duff of Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church.

 

  Heritage Baptist Church is excited to announce AWANA will begin on Thursday, September 4 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. AWANA is for ages 4 up through high school senior, with the teens having a separate program called SWAT.
