High School Graduation time is here

By Monroe Roark
Times Correspondent

A few thousand young Henry County residents will receive their high school diplomas in the next two weeks and embark on the next phase of their lives.

As has been the tradition for the past several years, all of the public high schools will conduct graduation ceremonies on the last day of school, most of them at the same time.

Graduation day for the Henry County School System is Friday, May 23. All regular high schools will conduct their ceremonies at their individual football stadiums, with backup plans for inclement weather at the discretion of each school.

Eagle’s Landing, Henry County, Locust Grove, Stockbridge and Woodland will start at 7 p.m. Dutchtown, Ola and Union Grove will start at 7:30 p.m. Luella will start at 8 p.m.

Patrick Henry High School’s graduation ceremony is at 1 p.m. at the Henry County Performing Arts Center.

In addition, a number of private schools in the county are also honoring their outgoing high school seniors.

Here, listed in order by date and time, are the local private school graduations as listed on their respective web sites (all ceremonies are at the respective schools unless otherwise noted).
