New Harvest Temple Christian Center invites the community to a Praise Party at the Remnant Center on Saturday, November 23 from 3 p.m. until. This event is free and everyone is welcome. For more info contact Christine Allen at 404-376-7794. The church is located at 209 Simpson Street in McDonough.

McDonough First UMC invites the community to a free family movie night on Saturday, November 23 at 5:30 behind the church building. This movie will be shown outdoors on a 15 foot screen. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and snuggle up with your family and a cup of hot chocolate. They will be showing a newly released movie about two monsters going to college. In case of rain or really cold weather, they will move the event into the gym. The church is located at 151 Macon Street, in McDonough.

Glen Haven Baptist Church invites the community to hear Pastor Mike Creasman on Sunday, November 24 in the 8:15, 9:45 and 11 a.m. services. Turning Point Church will have their first annual Toys for Tots event on December 7 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. They are seeking to make a difference in the community through this outreach. Each year, the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program makes it possible for children from low income families to receive new toys during the holiday season. McDonough First Assembly of God Church will have in concert “Little Roy Lewis and Lizzie Long” November 20 at 7 p.m. The community is invited to come enjoy this Blue Grass Extravaganza. Faith Independent Baptist Church invites the community to worship with them. Locust Grove United Methodist Church invites the community to worship with them. Tabernacle of Praise Church Int’l will have their 5th Annual Thanksgiving drive on Saturday, November 23. Frozen turkeys may also be dropped off at the church, located at 1640 Hwy. 42 N. McDonough. Drop-off hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Beatitude of Christ Church of God will have their annual Community Thanksgiving event on Wednesday, November 27 with dinner at 6 p.m. Worship is at 7 p.m. Please call before November 25 if you plan to attend with the number of guests attending.
