  Bethel UMC wants to gather the Mom’s of the community to share in the challenges and rewards of parenting from a Christian perspective. Discussions will be on Tuesday mornings from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the lower level of the chapel. Also on Oct 26, 6 - 8:30 p.m. they invited the community to their 6th Annual Fall Family Fun Fest. There will be games, lots of prizes, lots of laughs, some great snacks (to purchase) and a bonfire and the infamous Cake Walk. For info visit www.bethel-umc.com or call 770-474-2570.   Mt. Bethel UMC is sponsoring a homeless feeding ministry called “Feed The People.” Lunch will be served this month on Saturday, October 26 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the old Mercer Building parking lot on Hwy 23, across from the Snapper/Briggs and Stratton plant. They also bring clothing from their Agape Clothes Closet for distribution to the needy.  To participate in this program by food, clothing, or volunteer time donations please contact the church at 770-954-1194. All food and clothing is free to anyone who attends the monthly luncheon. Also, their Fall Festival will be Thursday, October 31 from 5 until 8 p.m. They will have Trunk or Treat, a cakewalk, games, free hot dog supper, country store, and more.   Mount Zion United Methodist Church’s annual Trunk or Treat Halloween celebration, sponsored by the United Methodist Women, will be held Saturday, October 26 from 4 until 6 p.m. Community children will receive candy from cars in the church parking lot, and free hot dogs will be served to children and adults in Harper Hall.  The church is located at 984 Panola Road in Ellenwood.

 

  Flippen United Methodist Church will host a Catfish Fry and Yard Sale on Saturday, October 26. The Catfish Fry will be offered from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The meal will include catfish, hush puppies, french fries, cole slaw, drink and dessert. Tickets are $10.   First Christian Church Stockbridge has their Children’s Harvest Festival Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6  to 8 p.m. in the gym. Free candy, food, games, and a cake walk. Call 770-474-2285 for more info. The church is located at 102 Valley Hill Road in Stockbridge.

 

  Agape International Ministries will host its annual Fall Harvest Fest on Saturday, November 2 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The fun will include inflatables, free food, hayrides, games, arts and crafts, prizes, costume contest, Life South Community Bloodmobile, Henry County fire truck, a clown, vendors and more.    Oakland Baptist Church will have a Trunk-R-Treat on October 26 from 4 - 6 p.m. A Dramatization of “A Letter from Hell” on Oct. 26, Nov. 2 and Nov. 3. Their Turkey Shoot is Nov. 9 and 16 from 9 - 4 p.m. Craft Bazaar Nov. 16 from 9 - 4 p.m. Their BBQ Fundraiser is Nov 16 and costs $8 per ticket. Call the church office for more info at 770-957-1222.   Community Bible Church will have their Trunk N Treat at the following locations: Community Main Campus on Sunday, October 27 at 5 p.m. The location is 2001 Jodeco Road in Stockbridge. It will also be held at Community Morrow Campus at Southlake Festival on Thursday, October 31 at 5 p.m. The location is 1550 Southlake Parkway in Morrow.

 

  Heritage Baptist Church invites the community to their first Sunday of Revival on November 3. The Henson Family will sing and Brother Roger Henson will preach in the morning and evening services.  Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. The Morning Service is at 11 a.m. The Evening Service begins at 6 p.m. Nursery is provided for all services.
