Senior Tabetha L. Duncan was awarded the $500 scholarship to pursue her degree at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA.

According to Martha Davidson, scholarship chair for the Henry County Master Gardeners, the scholarship program is new this year, and officials hope to grow the program and increase the amount of the scholarship in years to come.

“We established the scholarship program to promote agriculture science, horticulture and environmental conservation, and next year we expect to open the field even further and widen the pool of applicants,” said Davidson.
