Miles for Meals walk shines despite rain

Photos by Nick Vassy

Participants at last Saturday’s Miles for Meals Walk had to brave the rainy weather, but still showed up to donate their time to the program, which provides hot meals to homebound seniors in the County. From top to bottom: Tim Coley accepts a plaque in remembrance of his father, R. W. Coley’s dedication to the Miles for Meals program; members and friends of The Henry County Council on Aging show their support; Mrs. Lennice Wiley and three generations of walkers; members of First Lego League team No. 25, The Brick Brains, ready to walk; a lovable hobo clown based on Red Skelton’s Freddy the Freeloader.
