4-H Shooting Sports Team sends 16 to state competition

 

  The Henry County 4-H Club Shooting Sports Team sent 28 shooters to the district-qualifying match at Griffin Gun Club on April 20. Sixteen club members, eight juniors and eight seniors, advanced to the state competition at Rock Eagle, which will begin on May 11.

  The competition will be divided into two divisions, featuring 7th and 8th graders in the junior division, and high school students in the senior division. The qualifying juniors from the Henry County 4-H Club include Garrett Allman, Jacob Foster, Tori Long, Brandon Ogletree, Tyler Peacock, Ryan Wilson, Mark Weaver and Coleman Robinson.

  The qualifying seniors feature Jacob Allman, Dyland Blasingame, Ryan Brown, Garrett Burch, Reagan Hartfield, James Morris Craig Worley and Sean Kingry. Kingry placed third in the overall competition as well.
