Kids Cancer Club Third Annual Car Wash

  The Kid’s Cancer Club’s Third Annual Car Wash will be held on April 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Chick-Fil-A on Hudson Bridge Road in Stockbridge. All proceeds go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

 

 4-H Summer Camp

 4-H summer camp for Henry County 5th grade students is filling up quickly.  A week of fun and fantastic memories awaits Henry County 5th graders at Rock Eagle 4-H Center, June 10-14. Parents, if you have not seen the Henry County camp brochure about this chance of a lifetime, please contact Laura Garrett at the Henry County Extension office, 770-288-8421.

 

GWRRA 14th Annual HeroDay

  The Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Chapter A, McDonough, will have their 14th “HeroDay” on Saturday, April 13 at 12 p.m. at Steers Steakhouse in McDonough. The motorcycle chapter has adopted soldiers via HeroBox.org, an organization that helps support our troops by customizing care packages to soldiers serving our country.  Please help support our soldiers by bringing any items/donations to Steer’s, 14 Old Jackson RD, McDonough.  Contact Joyce Piotrowski, Chapter A’s HeroBox Coordinator,   at 770-954-0938.  For a list of donation items, or for more info visit www.gwrra-gaa.com. 2nd Annual Henry County Night

  The Woodland High School Soccer Program will hold their 2nd annual Henry County Night event on April 16 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the school’s soccer field. Since the program is mainly funded by parents, this event helps raise money for uniforms, goals, balls, and other equipment. Henry County Night is a varsity game night between two Henry County teams (boys & girls). All school age kids and younger wearing their local club jerseys were allowed to get into the gate for free. There will be a fully stocked concession stand while you enjoy the soccer matches.

 

Crossroads Career Network

  Crossroads Career Network meets at Stockbridge First UMC, 4863 N. Henry Blvd., Monday, April 15 at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall (lower level at rear of building). Guest speaker: Financial Advisor Paul Rippa of Edward Jones Investments will talk about “Bring Balance to Your Budget.” Childcare is provided. The class is free.
