Eagles Landing High annual plant sale April 8

Eagle’s Landing High School will host its annual Greenhouse Plant Sale on April 8 – 10 and on April 15 – 17. The sale will be from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on those Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

There will be a variety of ornamental and flowering plants, herbs and vegetables. Ornamen-tal plants will include impatiens, petunias, verbena, salvia, begonia, vinca, celosia, marigold and geraniums. Vegetable gardeners will find Better Boy tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, bell peppers, sweet banana peppers and herbs such as parsley, sage and oregano. Houseplants will also be available, including snake plants and Macho ferns.

Plant sizes will vary from small six-packs to gallon pots and hanging baskets

“April is the ideal time to start outdoor gardening,” says Chansi Coleman, the Agricultural Science instructor at ELHS. “And the hanging baskets would make wonderful gifts for Mother’s Day or any other special occasion.”

Students from the Agricultural Science classes will be staffing the sale to learn sales skills to complement their horticultural education. All proceeds will go to the school’s program.

Eagle’s Landing High School is located at 301 Tunis Road, just off Jodeco Road. Parking is located near the greenhouse, on the south side of the school building.
